Gantt Chart Overview

Welcome to the tutorial on Gantt Charts! A Gantt chart is a powerful tool for tracking the progress of tasks over time. It helps you visualize your project schedule and monitor task progress, making it easier to manage dependencies and keep everything on track.

What Is a Gantt Chart?

A Gantt chart displays:

• Tasks: Listed on the left side.
• Timeline: A horizontal bar chart on the right side showing the start, duration, and end of each task.
• Dependencies: Lines connecting tasks that depend on each other (if set).

This visual representation helps you see which tasks are completed, which are in progress, and which are upcoming.

How to Add a Gantt Chart to Your Board

To enable the Gantt chart view:

1. Add a date field (like a deadline or timeframe) to your board.
2. Input the relevant dates.
3. The Gantt chart view will be automatically enabled.

Access the Gantt chart by clicking the Gantt Chart icon located on the right side, above the board name.

Using the Gantt Chart

Once the Gantt chart is open, you’ll notice two panels:

• Left Panel: Lists tasks and their owners.
• Right Panel: Displays the tasks as bars on the timeline.

Features:

• Interactive Timeline: Click on a task to view or update its details, status, progress, or timeline directly.
• Drag-and-Drop: Adjust the start and end dates of tasks by dragging their bars.
• Time Interval Adjustment: Change the chart’s time view (day, week, or month) using the dropdown in the top-left corner.

This visual tool makes it easier to manage your projects, track milestones, and ensure deadlines are met.
