When setting Key Results in OKRify, you can choose from different target types to define the progress and success criteria. These target types ensure your objectives are aligned with specific goals—whether you’re aiming to increase, decrease, or maintain a certain value. The three primary target types in OKRify are:
Use the Increase target type when the goal is to raise a specific value, such as revenue, customer acquisition, or production output. Progress is tracked as the value grows, and success is achieved once the target value is exceeded.
Example:
The Decrease target type is used when the goal is to reduce a specific value, such as expenses, customer complaints, or error rates. Progress is tracked as the value decreases, and success is defined when the target reduction is met or surpassed.
Example:
The Baseline target type sets a reference point for a specific metric, and progress is tracked relative to that baseline. Surpassing the baseline is considered undesirable, as it indicates going beyond an expected or controlled level.
Example:
The Baseline target type is useful for goals related to cost control, resource optimization, or ensuring expenditures stay within set boundaries.
